Continuing Ed for Dietitians

Frequently Asked Questions

Do your courses offer CEU credits?

We have 1 course with CEU credits – our Comprehensive Dietitian’s IBS Program. We are in the process of getting all our courses certified by the CDR in the US for credits. All courses grant certificates that can be used by other dietetics organizations for continuing education.

How are your courses different than other courses?

We’re glad you asked! After running a private practice for many years and training dietitians, Andrea realized the tools and scope of knowledge RD’s have, especially in practicing out in the community was limited. Her philosophy is, to best understand GI conditions, you must understand both the medical management AND nutrition management. Why? Because dietitians act as advocates for their patients in a health care system that is broken. Having a deep understanding of diagnosis and treatment of conditions helps us to provide the best medical nutrition therapy, and advocate for when nutrition interventions are inadequate. Our courses cover the A-Z of GI diagnoses AND give you the practical tools to provide evidence based nutrition interventions for your patients.

What is Group GI supervision?

Every Fall from October to end of December, Andrea hosts 6 sessions, 1 hour each, of a small group of dietitians (12 max in each group). We cover complex GI conditions and nutrition management, and case studies. Andrea provides templates to support you in case presentation so you gain skills in talking with physicians about the care you provide patients, and allow you to confidently advocate for next steps.
