There are many different ways, other than food, to manage digestive disorders. On Instagram @AndreaHardyRD, I talk all about how important it is to trust yourself when it come to managing digestive disorder symptoms.

Digestive symptoms post Christmas feast?⠀
⠀
What pops immediately to our mind is ‘OK what dietary changes do I have to make’ – but what is often missing is, ‘can I use my coping skills instead to get back on track rather than thinking I need to over compensate with dietary changes?’⠀
⠀
Instead of making radical dietary changes, focus on getting back to your normal eating habits AND try one of these instead to help manage your symptoms!⠀
⠀
1) Self compassion⠀
– can you FEEL rather than fix, recognize this is part of being human, and it’s OK to feel this way? Followed by a gentle affirmation statement – ‘can I be patient with my body?’ ⠀
⠀
2) Gut directed hypnotherapy – my fave is the @Nerva.ibs app – you can also find a gut directed hypnotherapist near you! ⠀
⠀
3) Book an appointment with a therapist specialized in digestive disorders (Kirsten @ignite.nutrition.inc is pretty darn awesome!) ⠀
⠀
How are you getting back on track with digestion post holiday celebration?⠀
